Are you on a tight budget? Don't worry, there's plenty to enjoy in Malta on a shoestring. Sometimes the simple things with the least expectations are the best things in life that make the best memories! These are our favourite things to do in summer that cost next to nothing.

1. Hit the beach with a packed lunch

Plenty of beaches to choose from, try a different one every day.

2. Watch sunset, moonrise and sunrise

The island is so small, you could enjoy sunset and sunrise on the horizon every day.

3. Enjoy a beach BBQ

Have a bottle of wine or a BBQ by the sea; you can get disposable BBQs in the supermarket.

4. Explore Valletta and the Three Cities

All you need is your feet and childlike imagination.

5. Take a scenic boat ride

Just take the ferry from Sliema to Valletta or Valletta to Birgu.

8. Dance all night for the price of a drink

9. Go on a night hike

Or by day, for that matter. The night is just more mysterious.

10. Go to a Heritage Malta open day

Watch the Heritage Malta website for free entry and guided tours to archaeological sites, Maltese heritage and museums.

See! That's more than plenty to enjoy Malta on a budget!
