Catch them live! 5 totally chill local bands that will give you the summer feels

Summer is about good vibes, and what better way to get your vibe up than with some pumping music to liven up a party? There’s so much going on in the local music scene that choosing the top five was a pretty close call, but these are so chill, we just love listening to them on a summer eve.

ManaTapu

The international band bringing the mana to Malta from Germany, Colombia, Spain and our own little rock too, ManaTapu are one of the island’s number one bands, and I’m not saying that because I’m their biggest fan, I’m saying it because it’s true. They bring energy, passion, and synergy between the members! Follow these guys this summer as they head off on their first European Tour.

Tribali

Tribali are local legends. Known for their eclectic sounds, vibrant stage presence and killer shows, Tribali just keep on giving and the best time to enjoy their vibe is in the summer months. The versatility of the musicians paired with the intense knowledge of rhythm and beat is what gives this awesome world band it’s true ‘peace and love’ sound.

The Ranch

These guys describe themselves as ‘uncouth, uncivilised and unsophisticated’ - that sounds pretty awesome right?! The Ranch is a colourful band that delivers power every single time. There’s a contemporary sound connected with these stars and their experimentation and improv is what makes them so exciting.

The Rifffs

What can you say about The Rifffs? How do you sum up excellence, energy, humour, intellect and raw talent into a short paragraph? These guys aren’t a bunch of spring chickens (sorry guys), but jeez do they rock the stage! From original material to covers, The Rifffs are mad talented and total crowd pleasers. Summer fun all the way.

The Travellers

The Travellers have serenaded us on local radio stations for the past two years or so, and with their sweet melodies and harmonic beats, they’ve elevated Maltese sounds to a higher, higher point. The commercial element in their music makes them so easy to listen to and their skills really help to infuse that summer feel into every track.
