These are Malta’s odds of reaching the Eurovision final

Malta was pretty pumped to find out that musical starlet Emma Muscat will be representing us on the Eurovision stage, but as we count down the hours to tonight’s Semi-Final, the country can’t help but feel somewhat anxious…

According to eurovisionworld.com, Malta’s chances of making it through to Saturday’s finals are at around 52 per cent.

Tonight’s semi-final will see 17 countries battle it out to make it to the top 10 and thus take part in the Grand Final.

However, Malta’s odds currently rank us in 11th place, just behind Cyprus’ Andromache.

The Rasmus from Finland, Jérémie Makiese from Belgium, and Nadir Rustamli from Azerbaijan are also expected to get to the Final.

The first Semi-Final of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest took place yesterday.

Out of the 17 participating countries, the following made it through to the Final: Lithuania with ‘Sentimentai’, Switzerland with ‘Boys Do Cry’, Ukraine with ‘Stefania’, Netherlands with ‘De Diepte’, Moldova with ‘Trenuletul’, Portugal with ‘Saudade, saudade’, Iceland with ‘Með hækkandi sól’, Greece with ‘Die Together’, Norway with ‘Give That Wolf a Banana’, and Armenia with ‘Snap’.
